Skiing & Snowboarding

Isola 2000 has a great snow record and last year received more than 12m of snow! There are pistes to suit all levels of skier / snowboarder.

There are two main valleys for skiing / snowboarding; Chastillon and St Sauveur. The Front de Neige opposite the main resort building is excellent for beginners.

There is a ski / snowboard school (Ecole de Ski Francais) in the main resort building, you can book group or private lessons, and there are English speaking instructors. There are also several independent ski instructors, we would recommend Jean Germain. who is very friendly and speaks English.

There are 42 pistes; 7 green, 21 blue, 11 red and 3 black, served by 20 lifts; 2 telecabines, 7 chairlifts, 10 Poma / drag lifts, and one funicular. For the 2009-2010 season Isola 2000 is constructing a new high speed 6-person chairlift in the St Sauveur domain to replace two rather slow lifts.
